Creating an Ethical Basis

Everyone needs help at some time or another!  Often we are not open, for a variety of reasons, to receiving help from a source outside ourselves.

In our current environment we are taught to be strong, self-sufficient and never show weakness.  With these tenets firmly established in our psyche is it no wonder that we end up falling short of who we say we are or want to be.  We can be so much more if we give up being a one person show.  Even the most retiring and shy individual may have a need for real interactions and feedback.

This is especially true for people who aspire to be leaders in our society; the leaders we most often place upon teetering pedestals of 'expectation and isolation'.  The source of power they feed upon when they start is one of an internally fueled passion to make a difference and contribute.  No matter their motivation or message they all have an internal vision.  Often times this vision becomes more and more clouded as they are advised to make compromises and accommodations.  It is easy to lose sight of their original purpose direction and passion and become part of the “big machine”.

The Political Coaching Organization strives to help people reintegrate with their core values.  The true ethical basis that brought them to where they started can be restored to its authentic dominant position.  People can then become more purposeful in their dealings, happier in their life and finally more ethically complete and centered within their constituency.  This is for both their personal core and other individuals who believe in them and support their leadership.

How do we attain this you ask?  We work with individuals, groups and organizations as a truly neutral external accountability agent.

  • First, we work with the interested party to identify and own their core ethical basis.
  • Secondly, we help them understand the “ethical environment” in which they have chosen to place themselves.
  • Thirdly, we then help them deal with the discontinuities that become apparent.  By allowing the individual to regain control and not flow with the expedient answer there is the potential for dynamic changes.

The individual becomes aware of the risks and rewards and makes the correct decisions from their ethical core.  The energy to sustain their efforts comes from being re-engaged with their basis and internal guiding values.  Once they learn to follow this basis they become the answer.
